Standard Terms of Engagement

These Standard Terms of Engagement govern the relationship between SD Partners and clients for whom we provide legal services. By engaging SD Partners, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Scope of Services

SD Partners will provide legal services as agreed upon in writing with the client. The scope of work will be clearly defined in our engagement letter or other formal communication.

Professional Relationship

The engagement creates a professional relationship for the provision of legal services only. It does not constitute a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship. Use of our website or initial discussions does not create an advocate-client relationship.

Fees and Billing

Fees for services will be agreed upon in writing. Billing will be conducted based on the scope and complexity of the work, including time spent, resources required, and any applicable taxes. Payment terms will be specified in the engagement letter.

Confidentiality

All information provided to SD Partners by the client is strictly confidential. We will not disclose any client information to third parties except as required by law or with the client’s prior consent.

Conflicts of Interest

SD Partners will take reasonable steps to identify and disclose any conflicts of interest before or during the engagement. We reserve the right to decline or withdraw from representation in case of a conflict.

Limitation of Liability

SD Partners will provide services with reasonable care and skill. However, we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on legal advice or services, except where required by law.

Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement by providing written notice. Upon termination, the client is responsible for payment of fees for services rendered up to the date of termination.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi-NCR, India.

Acceptance

By engaging SD Partners, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Standard Terms of Engagement.
